 Learning  Targets

Students will be able to… understand the elements of a map and how we use them in geography

Success criteria:

• (Today I will…) identifying absolute location and relative location
• (So that, I can...) understand how to navigate through my surroundings
• (I will know I understand it when…) when I can apply map elements in my classroom and identify a precise location.

                                                                                                                                                                              Class work:

1. Finish and submit Farm Map (paper)
2. Finish and submit work on 1.4 Global Grid – stay at your team and work together. Cards (1.4 cards are on tables) (paper)
3. Go into Schoology and click on the YELLOW folder “Friday, Sept. 24th” and  do the assignments. No music or headphones, but you can work with table partners.
4. If you finish all the assignments, ask the guest teacher for the Latitude Longitude worksheet.
